Heron Drums Shamanic Drumming Circle
Last Tuesday of the Month - 7:30pm
Singleton Environment Centre, Wesley School Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 5LW.
Welcome to our Shamanic Drumming Circle, an open circle that has been gathering since 2014 to celebrate the timeless wisdom and healing power of the drum.
Our circle is open to all, and no booking is necessary. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a curious beginner, we welcome you to join us as we journey into the landscape of our ancestors and connect with the natural world that surrounds us.
We have drums available to borrow, so you don't need to bring your own. Whether we are gathering indoors or out around our sacred fire, together, we create a warm, inclusive community that values diversity, authenticity, and mutual respect.
Our Shamanic Drumming Circle meets monthly on the last Tuesday of the month*, and anyone is welcome to join us. We have been gathering for years, creating a community of drummers who share a deep love and appreciation for the power of the drum.
We believe that drumming is a powerful tool for healing, transformation, and spiritual growth. By drumming together, at this ancient site of ceremony, we tap into the wisdom of our ancestors, connect with the natural world, and access our own inner wisdom and intuition.
So if you're looking for a welcoming community of drummers, a place to connect with nature and yourself, or simply a new experience to explore, we invite you to join us.
Dates for 2024
*We meet on the last Tuesday of the month, which makes it easier to remember, with the only exceptions being those in bold below, April, and June and December, which are a week early to align better with the Solstices.
30 January, 27 February, 26 March, 23 April, 28 May, 18 June,
30 July, 27 August, 24 September, 29 October, 26 November, 17 December

In Dry Weather
Weather permitting, we meet to drum OUTDOORS, around our sacred fire, and drum under the evening sky with the moon and the stars watching over us.
There are stumps, logs and benches around the fire, though for a dry bum, bring something to sit on or even a camping chair. The fire is warm but please dress appropriately for the season, and wrap up warm when it is cold.
In Wet Weather
If the weather is rainy or very windy, we will hold the circle INDOORS, in the Rowan Room.
Held by this beautiful space, we hear the echos of the drums around the room, to bathe in the sacred vibrations.
Chairs are available, but you may wish to bring a pillow or cushion to sit on and blanket laying down for the shamanic journeys.
What to Bring
Bring your own drum, or use one of ours, and any rattles or other instruments that could be brought into the mix.
We also invite you to bring any songs or stories that you wish to share in the circle, and any sacred items that you would like to sit in the altar (when we meet indoors).
How much does it cost?
For the evening, we will each give £10 to go to cover venue hire and other expenses. This can be brought on the evening, or paid in advance using the link below. For those on low incomes, a concessionary rate is available - please contact me for details.
