This beautiful handmade Shamanic Rattle is made with natural Stag hide, bound to an Alder handle. It is filled with specially selected stones, shell and incense.

Crafted with prayer and intention, the Comraich rattle embodies the ancient symbolism of the Alder tree and the Stag, two powerful symbols in Celtic mythology. The name "Comraich," meaning "sanctuary" in Scots Gaelic, reflects the rattle’s role as a spiritual tool that offers guidance and connection.

The Alder tree is known for its strength and resilience, thriving in the balance between earth and water. It represents protection, spiritual insight, and the bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. The Alder’s wood carries the wisdom of our ancestors, offering grounding energy and a deep connection to nature.

The stag, a revered guardian of the forest, symbolises nobility, strength, and the enduring spirit of the wilderness. It guides us on our spiritual journeys, helping us navigate the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. The stag’s energy within this rattle inspires courage, independence, and the pursuit of deeper wisdom.

Sustainability

At Heron Drums, we work with natural materials and animal hides - this way the strength and the spirit of the animal and the tree live on in these sacred medicine tools. All of the hides and woods for our shamanic medicine tools are ethically and sustainably sourced, meaning that the hides are sourced from horses that have died naturally or wild culled stags or reindeer, where the hides are otherwise discarded, and the wood for the sticks is from sustainably managed forests.
